Dr Voon Pei Jye

Dr. Voon Pei Jye is an accomplished physician with extensive experience in oncology and clinical research. Currently serving as the Head of Department for the Radiotherapy and Oncology Department at Sarawak General Hospital in Kuching, he holds an M.D. from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak and MRCP from the Royal College of Physician, United Kingdom. Dr. Voon also holds a Master of Medicine and Advanced Specialist Training in Medical Oncology from the National University of Singapore and National Cancer Institute Singapore, as well as a Clinical Research Fellowship in Phase 1 Drug Development Program from Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University Health Network, Toronto. Dr. Voon is an active clinical researcher and is currently overseeing numerous ongoing clinical trials. His research contributions have been recognized with numerous awards and honors. Additionally, he has published multiple manuscripts and presented abstracts and posters at various conferences. Dr. Voon is one of the scientific committee members of Asia Pacific Oncology Drug Development Consortium and also ATLAS Board. He is also a member of several professional committees and societies, including the Malaysian Oncological Society, European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), and American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Dr Ang Choon Seong

Dr. Ang Choon Seong is currently practicing as a medical oncologist in Sarawak General Hospital. He graduated from University of Edinburgh, Scotland in 2010 under Malaysia Public Service Scholarship and obtained a membership of the Royal College of Physician (MRCP UK) in 2017. He went to National Cancer Institute Singapore (NCIS) for fellowship training in Medical Oncology in 2020 and returned to Malaysia in January 2024. He joined the Sarawak General Hospital Oncology Department in March 2024, treating all solid tumour types, with special interest in head and neck cancers particularly nasopharyngeal carcinoma. He is a subcommittee member in ATLAS Head and Neck Cancer Group and one of the drivers in accelerating clinical research in head and neck cancers in Sarawak. He has immense experience in clinical trial protocols writing and had been actively initiating and running clinical trials for both industry sponsored and investigator-initiated trials.

Dr Diana Foo

Dr. Diana Foo is a senior clinician-researcher and Director of the Human Physiology Laboratory at the Sarawak General Hospital Clinical Research Centre. Trained as a medical doctor, she chose a less conventional path as a clinician-researcher in 2013, driven by a strong interest in cardiovascular prevention and meaningful patient impact. Her work focuses on echocardiography, heart failure (HFpEF), cardiometabolic disease, atrial fibrillation, and digital health, with emphasis on integrating advanced diagnostics across primary and tertiary care for early detection and prevention. She has led multiple investigator-initiated cardiovascular research projects since 2014, supported by major Ministry of Health Malaysia and extramural grants, and is currently the highest grant holder among investigators in Sarawak State. She is an active member of several international research networks and steering committees, including the INTERASPIRE Steering Committee, Asia Pacific Cardiovascular Research Network (ASPIRE), and the AF Screen International Collaboration. She also serves as European Society of Cardiology Heart Failure Association Young Ambassador representing Malaysia in 2023–2024.  

Since 2017, she has transformed the Human Physiology Laboratory into a medtech research hub, partnering with medtech startups, international pharmaceutical companies, universities, engineers, and frontline clinicians to advance translational digital health solutions. Her latest decentralized AI-powered community heart failure screening project, developed through public–private collaboration, was selected for Late-Breaking Science at the European Society of Cardiology Heart Failure Congress in 2025.
 
Dr Foo is a World Heart Federation Emerging Leader in digital health and cardiovascular prevention, and recipient of multiple Young Investigator Awards in 2014–2023 from the National Heart Association of Malaysia, ASEAN Federation of Cardiology, and Asia Pacific Society of Cardiology. She was named one of Malaysia’s Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians in 2023 and was recently awarded Fellow of the ESC Heart Failure Association (FHFA).
 
Since 2022, Dr Foo has expanded collaborations with industry partners in clinical trials & research, leading global hybrid & industry-sponsored studies as site Principal Investigator. Her site has consistently achieved global and national top-recruiter positions in various industry-sponsored trials. 
 
Beyond research, Dr Foo contributes actively to national echocardiography education as teaching and examination faculty for the National Heart Association of Malaysia’s Basic Echocardiography Certification programme. She currently serves on the committee of the Society of Cardiovascular Imaging Malaysia.

Dr Yusra Binti Hadi

Dr. Yusra Binti Hadi is a clinical oncologist who graduated from Trinity College Dublin and later completed a Master of Clinical Oncology (MCO) at University Malaya. She has been actively involved in numerous clinical trials and has a particular focus on the management and treatment of women’s cancers, contributing to both research and patient care in the field of oncology.

Dr Law Wan Chung

Dr Law Wan Chung is a Consultant Neurologist and Head of Neurology Services in Sarawak, Malaysia. He has been an active and consistent contributor to clinical research, participating in numerous local and international studies and presenting his work at both national and international conferences. Dr Law is the Past President of the Malaysian Society of Neurosciences, Malaysia Chair for the ANGELS Initiative, Vice Chairman of the Malaysian Stroke Council, and an Adjunct Lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). His leadership and sustained commitment have played a key role in advancing neuroscience and stroke care at both national and regional levels.
